About Us
Our goal is to help people who do not have the means to receive effective addiction and alcohol treatment.
“When left untreated, this disease destroys many people and their families.”
The story Behind the Foundation
It all started with an idea from four friends that met in recovery. Ben, Jerry, Blake, and Tiffany have all experienced drug addiction and alcoholism themselves, and all four have met through their journeys in recovery. They battled the disease of addiction for a long time. Whether you see it this way or not, addiction is a disease.
When left untreated, this disease destroys many people and their families. Addiction ravaged the lives of our four friends and all the people that loved them dearly. It continued for a major part of their lives until that one day came when they finally had enough
Where we lead, change tends to follow.
We take the time to do our research to help get better results for treatment providers, so we are personally able to get help to those that need it. With the donations from our work, we are then able to use that money to help someone. Our donation goes to the person who cannot afford treatment and so desperately needs it.
Our Charitable Goals
Our goal is to help people who do not have the means to receive addiction and alcohol treatment. It becomes extremely hard to get people the help they deserve when they do not have health insurance to back them up. “We all have had so many friends that did not make it due to this disease because they did not have any way to get help”. When someone does not have insurance, they must wait many days or even weeks for a state-run facility to have an open bed.
This long waiting process does not help someone in active addiction. As time passes, the disease gets worse. When the disease gets worse, so do the chances of dying by accidental overdose or substance abuse-related causes. This big problem deeply troubled the team and as time passed, the desire to create something that would change this issue grew. This is how the Advancement of Addiction Treatment started.
We look forward to helping those that do not have the resources to do so. And we want to be the voice of the struggling addicts and alcoholics that want to give up. The most important thing you can do for someone who is struggling with addiction helps them get through it.
The only way you can help is by asking for help. We are taught in recovery that no one else can help like one addict to another. We hold firm in this belief and that is why we do what we do.
